There are many professions related to agriculture in addition to farming. Many boys and girls do not think agriculture is a desirable profession. Many parents do not encourage their children to pursue farming as a profession because of the difficult work and low income. However, 4-H can create interest in many agricultural careers that contribute to the family’s and country’s food security.

DuPont and 4-H share a belief that youth development is a key sustainability initiative to address global food security.
