Management Committee Meeting

4-H Ghana held a district management committee meeting on Thursday, 20th August, 2012 at Oguaa, Koforidua in the eastern region of Ghana. The aim of the meeting was to plan towards the step-down training on Leadership Institute held in Tanga, Tanzania. Other issues such as marketing of the garden produce, planting period for the minor season, partnerships and sustainability plans were discussed.  The Step-Down training will take place from 7th-24th October, 2012, at the Bunso Cocoa College, East Akim district, eastern region,Ghana.

Amazing CRIG 4-H


Members of CRIG M/A Basic school 4-H in the East Akim district have cultivated cabbage on large tract land. the decision to grow cabbage and a few carrot and lettuce was taken by the 4-H members themselves. The School PTA provided water hose and drip irrigation system in addition to the watering cans and other garden tools provided by 4-H Ghana to club. The headteacher of the school has expressed a profound interest in the project. "It was the first time we worked the soil, and the kids love it they all wants be part of it", he said.
