4-H Leadership training in Ghana

4-H Ghana organized Leadership Training for club advisers and district management committee members. The workshop was organized as a follow-up of the Leadership Institute training held in Tanzania where 4-H African leaders were trained to build a Sustainable Partnership and Networks necessary for improving agricultural value chains, and improving lives of Africa's youth through effective positive youth development. The training was held in 4-batches with each batch made up of participants from 3 districts and some members from Greater Accra and Volta region. The training started Monday, October 8-24th October, 2012. The workshop took place at the Bunso Cocoa College in the eastern of Ghana where 275 participants were trained in Positive youth development, community entry methodologies, partnership and networking, organizational development, Fundraising, financial management, ICT and 4-H global knowledge center, monitoring and evaluation, enterprise garden models, agricultural value chain, writing Success stories and volunteerism  The workshop was geared toward 4-H Ghana context in a way that will help address the challenges facing 4-H programmes in the country.

CRIG 4-H holds exhibition

CRIG M/A Basic school 4-H club organized exhibition during the school's silver jubilee celebration. Items portrayed at the exhibition were produce from the school's enterprise garden, some prepared foods, bead necklaces, drawings and paintings produced by the club members. The event attracted a lot of dignitaries including the Eastern regional minister, regional education director, traditional rulers, staff of cocoa research institute of Ghana and the media. The project coordinator, 4-H Enterprise gardens and two volunteers were present to grace the occasion.
