Ghana 4-H wins Regional Award

4-H Ghana received a Regional Award in Agriculture Training of the Youth in the Eastern Region of Ghana at the 29th National Farmers Day Awards Celebration on Friday December 06, 2013. In addition to the  regional award, 10 school clubs won Best Schools in Agriculture at the District Farmers Award Celebration. This brings to a total of 11 Awards won by 4-H Ghana in 2013. This has been an outstandig performance over the 5 Awards received by 4-H Ghana in 2012.

4-H Ghana Youth Camp 2013

The first National 4-H Youth Camp in Ghana will be held in August 11-15, 2013 at the Bunso Cocoa College in Bunso a town in the East Akyem District in Eastern Region of Ghana. Over 500 participants from Primary and Junior High School are attending the camp themed 4-H Enterprise garden: A Tool For Food Security. Participants will be trained in 4-H Club Management, Agricultural Value Chain and Creative Arts. It is expected that participants will leave the camp confident to manage their clubs, develop a successful farm businesses and a career choice in agriculture.
