DuPont and National 4-H Council visits Ghana

 Jim Borel, Vice Chair of DuPont and Donald T. Floyd, president and CEO National 4-H Council and their team visited 4-H clubs in Akuapim North District, Eastern region, Ghana . The two were accompanied by USAID team, Jon Vandenheuvel, President of Atlantic Farms,  Bob Walker, DuPont representative for Africa, and Rajjar Najar, CEO New Agricultural Service, Ghana.

Kwamoso 4-H club members are made up of 7 females and 5 males. The group have planted 20 Acres of Corn featuring 10 Acres of Pioneer hybrid  and 10 Acres of "Obatanpa" a local variety in Ghana. The other 4-H clubs in the district have also planted 12 Acres of Pioneer hybrid corn.

The team toured Kwamoso 4-H and Nana Ankobea Takyiwa Primary school 4-H site after meeting with the minister of local government and rural development  and minister of Agriculture in Accra.
